Board of Education Meeting Highlights
Highlights from the June 23, 2010 Board of Education meeting:
---- The Board approved several personnel items. These included the hiring of Jason Burr as the new principal at John Witherspoon Middle School effective August 16. Jason currently serves as the assistant principal of Montgomery Upper Middle School in Montgomery. The Board also hired Joseph Serico to serve as interim principal at John Witherspoon from July 1 to August 15. Joseph is a retired principal and former assistant superintendent of schools.
The next tentatively scheduled meeting of the Board of Education will be Thursday July 1 at 7:30 a.m.and the next regularly scheduled meeting will be Tuesday July 20 at 8 p.m. in John Witherspoon Middle School.
