Quarry Street School

The Quarry St. School building was built in 1908 as a school for Colored students living in the Borough of Princeton. While the Quarry St. School operated as a school for Colored children, it was called the Witherspoon School.

As part of the plan for desegregating the schools in 1948, the Quarry Street School became the middle school for all public school-educated children in Princeton Borough.
