Parent-Teacher Organization

The education of children is a combined effort; therefore, close cooperation and understanding between home and school are most important.  To help achieve this goal, there is a Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) in each of the schools.  Each parent is urged to become an active member of the PTO and to contribute to the education of Princeton’s children.

The PTO’s fund-raising activities help support numerous services, materials, and programs for students in each of the schools.  Additionally, students throughout the district who need financial help to participate in any district activity--whether special music and art programs or the purchase of a school T-shirt, school pictures, or even a bicycle helmet--are also supported by the PTO.

The PTO Council, made up of PTO officers from all six schools and the Special Education PTO, meets regularly to discuss district-wide issues and to increase communication and cooperation among the schools.  Members who have any concerns to be addressed at these meetings should contact the PTO President of the school in which their child is enrolled.
