Home Instruction
Home or bedside instruction is available to any student who is confined to his or her home or at a hospital for medical reasons for two weeks or longer. If it is anticipated that a student will be confined two weeks or longer, instruction may be arranged to begin within the two-week period.
Requests for home instruction should be initiated by a telephone call to the school nurse or school counselor. This action must be followed by a note from the attending physician to the school nurse indicating the student’s name, the date, the exact nature of the illness or injury, whether there are any medically indicated limits on home instruction, and an estimate of the length of time that the student will not be able to attend school. Instruction will be arranged by the Office of Student Services (806-4206).
